I'm addicted

Me too. I don't play baseball and I'm not from the US so I don't crave mimicking their culture like some do (nor do I understand the urge! Equally I don't gave an urge to wear a beret, stripey jumper and wear a string of onions around my neck).

It irritates me just how had it is to find a proper cricket cap, here in the UK,UKnd even a lot of those look like baseball caps. It's as though we're ashamed of our own culture. Either that or people so desperate to look a little different all jump onto the baseball bandwagon without realising that it has exactly the opposite effect.

The biggest annoyance baseball caps present is that wearers seem obsessed with wearing them both indoors and while eating. Most uncouth!
Whats the problem with enjoying a culture outside of the UK?

i have been known to do this..

I actulally avoided getting a smart phone for years, ive only had one for 12 months or more, I always used to have a burner phones, the pure fact was I knew I would be totally addicted to a smart phone if I had one, I was right ….

I might have to reconsider what phone I use. but I obv enjoy using it. dunno what to do for the best.

I will defo start turning on to aeroplane mode when in tv mood.
Out of sight out of mind. Stick it out the room too

You seem like a really miserable old man . It’s quite admirable

Not a problem per se. It's just a shame a nation that can be vitriolically patriotic can be so easy to give up on its own culture and traditions. How many people do you see wearing cowboy belts and are fans of US country music, but probably don't know anything of the rich wealth of British folk music? We should celebrate our own identity more, is my point.

Apart from Morris dancing. Morris dancing can get in the bin!

are you a fan of Brexit at all?

*avoids politics

Though I will confess I do everything I can to avoid being a member of a club. I don't want to lead or be led and I don't need the security they provide. Clubs just always seem to want money from you for something.

Baseball caps have been ubiquitous in countries outside the USA for so long that I doubt it's a case of folk trying to be American any more.

Anyway, wasn't baseball started in flipping Derbyshire or something - hence The Baseball Ground? So really they're copying us!

That's that sorted then.
