If we get taken over tomorrow?

No doubt BU would claim victory, and the KEIOC lot would be convinced that they had done the double.
Kenwrong would probably still be here with the new guys buying his mates shares, but letting him stay to regale them with tales of Boys Pens and Coronation St.

Don't think it would change my opinion of him either, unless they turned out to be really really bad for us (I can't believe that the ones that flogged the r/s to deryanks in derfirstplace at a massive profit escape flak).

Ye like the spirit of shankly did! Only really it was down to the banks!

I think he's a Blue that, like many of us, wears blinkers to what's really going on & what needs to be done. I reckon if he could see the writing on the wall & do the right thing, then he'd be welcomed at Goodison still. If he lets get any more bitter than it is, then he'd best stay away once its done...

But I'm on the other side of the planet, what would I know.

Keioc's BU front would be irrelevant in the whole issue. I'd first of all want to be assured that we are not simply changing the face at the top with new owners who don't address the three most important issues for us; that being the stadia, debt and squad development. If Kenwright was to pull off that type of deal, I'd be happy that he could watch Everton without the weight on his shoulder and hopefully, it would mean we get rid of that tottenham supporter and the other money grabbers on our board (yes, Dave, nobody has stolen my log in, its me saying that)

As for Kenwright, he did, to the best of his ability the things I'd call a minimum requirement; he appointed the right man for the job after having to let go another manager. He stuck by him when "knowledgeable" fans called for him to go, and he's not inteferred in team affairs and tried to support him, albeit not to the extend that we really need.

It'll be despite him if anything comes to fruition not because he's 'secured' it.

I cant ever remember a groundswell of opinion that Moyes had 'to go'. This is a myth perpetrated by Kenwright's deluded followers - an attempt to draw a parallel with Carter's refusal to sack HKI back in '83/'84.

If we get taken over it'll be a miracle.

With regards to BK I would offer him a honorary position maybe club president or something. He's a blue sometimes misguided but wants the best for the club.

Would it change your opinion of Bill Kenwright for the good or bad or make no difference? What about The Blue Union or it's offshoots? Would anyone have been proved right? Having a good twitter convo about it and wondering what you lids think. No polls, no cheese on toast just wondering (oh and I might do a blog on it).

It will make no difference to me re. BK. My opinion of him has always been the same, a man who stepped in to save the club from oblivion, had the balls to make some unpopular decisions (selling Rooney) for the good of the club but is woefully unsuitable to running a football club in this distasteful era of sky high wages and mercenary ********s.

As for the Blue Union, they'd be a non-entity. Their "interim board" idea would be proven to be unnecessary and ill thought out, but I'd expect them to claim responsibility for the sale just as KEIOC claimed credit for Kirkby going tits up.

I'm forming a group called Sell Out To The Indians (SOTTI), and will claim all the credit if this actually happens. I just need a web site and a clown outfit and it's a goer........

If we get taken over tomorrow I would literally be so happy that'd I'd have to express it somehow. Maybe just run into my local town screaming and shouting with nothing but my Evertons scarf on.
