Player Valuation: £90m
would you be happy ?

As always we've been linked to numerous players already, and it's only June. However, if we were to sign a player like N'Zogbia and then increase our squad size with younger players and unproven talents, how would you feel ?

Unless we sell at least one of our big players i can't see us splashing the cash on any other big transfers, what with N'Zogbia looking like a £9m move. That worries me, as i've always felt that as well as lacking some pace and skill on the wing, we also need to invest in a proven striker who doesn't have legs made of glass (sorry Louis).

I think I would be happy.. I'm hell bent in thinking we have the quality minus a winger.. If Saha can stay fit, which is unlikely though..

So Yes for me..

I voted no solely because we saw plenty of examples last season where we had plenty of time on the ball but ended up playing crab football because we had no final product. If Saha did happen to get injured again early on we'd be stuck depending on Beckford (who is still not at the level he needs to be, and isn't really a lone striker) and Anichebe. If Velios had gotten more play time at the end of the season then perhaps i'd be a little more positive about the situation, but he didn't.

No,

2 forwards, maybe 3, cover at left back, that French CB, Donovan in January on loan, big Nev in the dressing room wth the beat box, a psychologist for the first ten games of the season, Owen Hargreaves so we can maintain recent form of signing a crock...gives us something to moan about when we lose 5 of the first 10 games and sack the psychologist, Doncater g. keeper and Steve Mclaren as no. 2....yes Steve Mclaren......2 gingers= success under the proxy of 'you'll never win anything with two gingers.

No, two wingers, or one winger and a right back (depending on where Coleman plays) are a must, as is a new striker. Another striker and backup left back would be good too.

Although i like N'Zogbia i think i would be disappointed. With the distinct possibility of players leaving us, would one (quality) player improve us? I'm talking about the squad coping with a long season. We can already rely on Saha taking it easy for some part. I don't live in a dream world where i think we'll sign 3 or 4 class players that'll transform our squad to Champ league contenders but 1 or 2 good players with a couple of loans sound good to me.

For the first time in a long time though, we have expensive deadwood as it were, in that they would fetch decent enough fees in order for us to address our weak areas. This summer will be all about getting lucky finding the right bidders.

Yes, but N'Zogbia is a quality winger and I would no doubt be happy if we managed to get him.. Donovan I think would make me happier but I'm bias..

We really need some bang up top though for sure.

Whilst I like the prospect of the Baines-N'Zogbia combo, I think we need a right winger to:
1. Give a little balance
2. Let Coleman learn his trade (that is, defending)

Would be a fantastic signing, but I don't give Everton even a slight chance, even if we somehow manage to raise the asking price. He's just too hot property right now. Richer clubs than us will be after him, and will be able to offer higher wages, the chance of European football, and so on.

No, because we need a striker too. Now if you said would I be happy with N'Zogbia, Ba & some fringe players/youngsters, I'd say HELL YES!
