one small point..........who would seriously want the job at the moment ??? high expectations ( not hust survival ) on a nothing budget while even the so called smaller teams in the league are all spending . Sadly we are not a good prospect at the moment.
This is a good point. which is why I mentioned Adkins. I think that's the best we can hope for ie. a young promising manager much in the same mould as Moyes.

I'm not advocating we kick Moyes out. I went a bit kneejerk after the match the other day from sheer frustration but He's still got some credit in the bank with me. However, he's burning it up and I do think it's possible that's it's simply a case of coming to the end of a cycle.

Thinks go stale, players feel stale, Moyes feel stale.

Theres no other team in the League who have gone 2 Seasons without making new signings.

I understand that, but the problems are more than that. If you judged Moyes' on the support he has received from the board, I would agree that he has overachieved up to now. However a team with the likes of Jagielka, Baines, Heitinga, Felliani, Rodwell etc shouldn't be struggling the way we have, no cash or not, no relaible forwards or not. And we can't hang around waiting for Moyes to 'freshen up'. He's been on the down for a long time and shows no sign of reversing that trend.

You do realise that the next person thru the door would realise he has no money and starts a firesale?

And it wont be the likes of Neville, Cahill, Osman out the door, it will be Fellaini, Baines, Rodwell and Barkley.

Just sayin, all you Anti-Moyes.

Says who?? Certainly if they came in between windows they wouldn't be able to for several months anyway.

Pretty much what I said, apart from the "we should be doing better with the squad we have".

No, we have a paper thin squad devoid of any technical ability, with little to no foundations.

A few promising youngsters are being laden with promise and expectation of a man whom hand has been forced, which is unfair to both, he has had the opportunity to purchase players and for the most part got it right, along with results over 10 years, we all make mistakes! If my employer judged me over 10 months or even 20 months I'd be fuming, judge me from ten years ago please.

20 months is a long time to be underperforming. If your boss came to me and said I've got this guy whose was great for 8 years, but last 2 has been been rubbish/coasting, I would tell him to [Poor language removed] you off (no offense!), and the same goes for Moyes. I am massively grateful and repsectful of what he has done, but that doesn't give him the right to spend the next few years helping to drag us down and undo all his good work.

If Moyes goes I f*cking give up. Be careful what you wish for, good brethren of the board.

You know you might be right. But until we try we never know. We know we're gash atm. With a new manger we might be better, we might be worse, but i'd prefer that risk than knowing we're gonna be gash for the next x years. If we're not moving towards the top of the league, then what's the point? We may as well finish 17th as 11,12,13th, aside from a few mil that Moyes will prob never see anyway, so what difference will it make?

You're criticising people for being too flippant, but I think you're arguably being just as bad. Just on the other side of the argument.

By that I mean you're justifying current failures with past successes, like his accomplishments in previous seasons should mean his performance in the present should be critique-free.

I don't expect the same kind of things I did a few seasons ago, as we've spent nothing and teams have leap-frogged us. However my beef is not that Moyes is no longer performing miracles, it's that he's no longer performing at all.

NO!!!

i agreed with most points, we have been rubbish for a while after his wine to water trick ran dry, there is only so much one man ca do! I can't make it any easier than that RUFS.

I'm not saying you are, but the way thats phrased its as if you are saying that no matter how poorly Moyes may have us doing in future its not his fault, and it doesn't matter cause of what he had done previously.

If he had managed to assemble a team of exactly equal quality to Man Uniteds over the last 2 years for no money would he be able to get away with finishing where we had just cause he spent no money? Extreme example yes but it seems that he will always have the fall back excuse of no money regardless of anything else.

Ah right so that's for definite then, nailed on the head?

I just want a manager who plays the game how i believe it should be played. i don't hate moyes, we just seem to have different ideas on how to play football. most young managers now are playing it on the floor.
