Greek Fisherman

Player Valuation: £8m
Would they be top of the league?

I'm just watching a replay of their match against Spurs and what really stands out is the amount of hard work their attacking players do defensively. l'm comparing the work of Willian and Oscar to that of an Osman or Barkley.

i dont think its really possible to answer...better would be how much better off would we be if we had alot more money to spend..

one thing tho -baines, coleman, mirallas are the only players who could poss get in their starting line up...

Mourinho is a fantastic manager but I think most managers would have Chelsea top if we say that they had exactly the same squad.

Would Martinez have been able to convince Fabregas or Costa to sign is another question.

To be fair i think martinez would use the creative players a lot more than mourinhio. not sure if that would be better or not but a solid midfield and then creativeness going forward with target man (costa) upfront.

however mourinhio knows how to win and whats scary is that he has signed all the players he wanted as well.

A manager who knows how to win consistently and does so, a manager who quite unashamedly puts himself in the limelight to protect/deflect media attention from his players and who doesn't really give a stuff how he is perceived, a club in the capital, a decent stadium, a mega-rich owner not afraid to back his manager - if we were players the draw of Chelsea would be hard to ignore.

To be fair, if he was managing Chelsea he would have so much money that he could be buying players from a different stratosphere.

I bet Martinez would love to be able to spend £25m+ on an attacking midfield player every summer, plus add to any other area of the team that takes his fancy.
