This new 'Destroyer' does look like some other kind of ship tbh, one of those thingies with aeroplanes on.......now what do they call them.....

You'd have a good time trying to land a plane on that, the superstructure is in the way, it also appears that there's no second runway, it'll be for helicopter I guess.

I reckon you would have no problem landing the JSF F-35 on there.......(the new Izumo is the one in the rear of the pic)

No probs for the F-35, I'll bet they also have a bolt on ski ramp already made for quick assembly.....

The treaty of Versailles limited them to battleships up to 10,000 tons apparently, but then a variety of other treaties and the breaking of them by Germany ended up with the Bismarck at 42,000 ton......

I'm quite sure though that neither the USA, UK or France will be bothered with Japan doing what it is doing, as a buttress against the maritime ambitions of China.......
