Player Valuation: £500k
And we sell him in January, what is an acceptable transfer fee, and what do you do with the money (assuming it does not go to the bank)?? What player/s do you bring in?

30 Million, no less.

Sign:
-Drenthe permanent deal (assuming he works out here)
-Niko Krajcar
-Sturridge
-Defour or, dare I say it...Moutinho!!!

can't see anyone buying him in January, wed still want 20mill+ for him which narrows your clubs down massively

I think Moyes has just given a deadline of January to make his mind up then look at flogging next summer if he dont sign, which is what I can see happening

He's worth at least £25 million but if we've got to sell that weakens our position. I think we'd be lucky to get our £15 million back if I'm honest.

For us to make a profit , 20-25m , he will have to start performing well consistently , this I believe he is capable of , and unlike the last 2 seasons remain injury free , something , given our luck with injuries and in general , im not so confident of .

Would much rather he signed a new deal but that aint looking likely just now .

I'd like £25m but £20m is more realistic. Add that to whatever's left of the Arteta fee and get a quality striker, Drenthe and a replacement or we'll be worse off IMO. We've already sold Arteta without a replacement being brought in and we'd have no one capable of playing that position lke felli does. The replacement's the most important thing: he's absolutely key to our good, quick football, you never ever see him hoof it and that's damn valuable for a team like ours which is full of people who'd rather **** the thing out the ground than get caught in possession.

Agree about 25 mill, but if we don't sell until next summer (which is too late IMO) we will only get 15 mill. Which is why he needs to sign by January.

We'd be lucky to recoup what we paid for him. £15m would be good business even in January.

Oh, and it's not even an if. Thread title should read "When Fellaini doesn't sign". Moyes has pretty much confirmed it.

When? Everything I've seen thus far says they are close.

And while maintaining Fellaini is “close” to agreeing a new deal, Moyes admits the clock is ticking and said: “The point you’re making is right. We will have to act.”

Arsenal got 25 for nasri in the last year of his contract so i dont buy into the idea that we'll struggle to recoup the 15 we paid for him

Would like us to hold out for 25 mil because i rate him that highly but its whether other clubs value him at that

I'd expect Chelsea or United in for Fellaini if we have to sell. I rather not, but the reality is that this might have been setup by Arteta forcing his sale. We sold Arteta and didn't bring in a replacement. That weighs heavy on the minds of the younger players. That said I would hope for 20-25. Felli's still young and will only get better.
