Let it go, let it go
Can’t hold it back anymore
Let it go, let it go
Turn away and slam the door...

I don’t care
What they’re going to say
Let the storm rage on,
The cold never bothered me anyway...

A fifth-place finisher winning the CL would mean the fourth-place finisher drops to the Europa League. England can only have four teams in the CL (well, apart from Special Dispensation FC).

What happens to the team in 3rd if both a team finishing outside the top 4 wins the Champions League and another team, finishing outside the top 4, wins the Europa League?

From next season (when the Europa winner will first be awarded a CL spot - this year's winners won't get one) they're removing the 4 team per country limit.

So theoretically England could (in 2015-16, for example) have 6 teams in the CL, if next season, 5th place in Prem wins CL and 6th place wins the Europa

Having read the reports it seems 5 get in - 4th misses out if there could be 6 but stays in with 5.
