If a tree falls…

Still no proof of sound because woodland animals lack the ability to tell us if there was a sound... they can't do English proper like what we do.

What if it was at night, and the animal was a Bat, and we had live CCTV set up and saw the tree fall, and the bat reacted to the tree about to fall on him by flying away pronto. I think it would be unreasonable for us to expect the bat to provide a written account of his near miss, for us to believe his actions to fly away from the falling tree were justified.
