2024/25 Idrissa Gueye

This turned up in the tennis yesterday re the college system and player burn out. The steady introduction via the u.s. college system is expected to become the norm, where players gradually work their way into the pro ranks and are more prepared long term for the demands of such a career. Where once the worlds best were retiring in their mid 20's, pro's now are playing on into their late 30's.
Nutrition, all the medical available, ultra clean living, rest, it is paying off across all sports. Though there is one outlier, cycling, winners are getting younger. Once unheard of.
Interesting. Maybe become so distilled into aerobic capacity that an old bloke can't compete with a young bloke

Most other sports require some form of reading of the game or personal agency over what to do and when - where experience really does count
