Ideas to improve the world

First, stop the misguided view that we're all equal. We're not. We should have an equal start in life but after that it's up to you, I'm afraid.

Second, make procreation means tested. If you can't afford children, don't have them. There should be salary bands that determine how many you can have.

Third, and probably quite controversial, stop trying to help some of the remote African areas that suffer persistent drought. We have probably inadvertantly killed millions more by trying to keep them going over the last century. It is very harsh and goes against our desire to be (or appear) altruistic, but it has done far more damage.

Finally, my favourite... Introduce a karma scale. Everyone has a chip implanted that records good deeds Vs bad deeds. If you are in the plus, you can offset your score for benefits or to punish those who are in the negative (within the same range as you). Get a mega high score, for example, and you can off a murderer or a nonce. But that resets your balance and you have to start again.

Vote for me for king of the world!!!

The third point puts Lenny Henry out of a job so on that basis alone I'm all for it.

Are you saying we should stop trying to help those who are in desperate need?

First - what do you mean by equal? I'm not sure of many who think everyone has equal academic ability, or sporting ability, or technical ability. Equality means equality of opportunity, and this shouldn't stop once you're born. We currently have a system that promotes those who are born on the positive side of unequal opportunity. That's not just about money, or schooling, it's about whether you are read to, it's about whether you get taught about health and diet, it's about whether you believe that opportunities are open to you. If we say that once you get an equal start, life is as you make it, what do you mean by equal start?

Third - this slightly damages your first comment about everyone having an equal start unless you mean, we purge the countries with weaker resources and then only allow people from sustainable climates to be given the equal start. Do you also include areas such as California which have faced drought and earthquakes? Areas in the UK that faced mass flooding? Or just poor countries such as 'remote Africa'?
