I think Editors actually rip Joy Division off very well. Mind you I don't rate either of them.

I dunno. I've heard that comparison quite a bit but I'm not sure. They have the new wave drumming and of course, the singer's voice is uncanny but they lack that sort of doomy, chaotic edge that JD had.

Yes I agree there, the mood is a bit different. I had 'Unknown Pleasures' and it was a massive disappointment, para mi.
 
I was lucky enough to see them at Mountford Hall in '79 i was 13 at the time,bloody lucky to get in i told me mam i was going to the cinema but i hopped on a bus and saw my first band live bloody brilliant too,i remember getting a bollocking about the time i got in though

Think the Buzzcocks where the main act that night but i wasnt fussed on them tbh
