I disagree I'd rather we didn't hear from him at all.

Criminal psychology interests me. I just want to know what he was thinking and what he continues to think. Morbid curiosity I think but I think many are the same. Studying people like him could prevent or aid apprehension of people like him in the future.

The Iceman movie is out next month. Take everything he says with a pinch of salt, even his 2 books contradict each other. The man was obviously a loon ball, but admitting to killing Roy Demeo the world and its mother knows it was Joey Testa is glory hunting. Also, Jimmy Hoffa???

Mob Cops and Mafia Cops are 2 great reads

Agreed, if his claim that he fed victims alive to rats in a cave was correct I'm sure the families of missing people in the States would have chased the FBI to find out where it is, dna could identify them and no such search was made. I didn't believe his wife either, half of her story never rang true to me.

As Kurt said so many books of that genre are blown up out of all proportion. Did you read Joe Banono's (Joe Bananas) story, he maintained there was no such thing as the Mafia he was just a businessman who had made good in the country of his choice despite (he was Sicilian by birth and joined the Mafia in Palermo) the fact he was also pictured with his hoods at every Mafia gathering was again a big give away......................the reader was supposed to believe him ffs

Stupidity I was thinking interviewing through the media and broadcasting it. I felt a bit uncomfortable with the news quoting him this week, everything he says seems so calculated.

I agree with the criminal psychology interviewing, have you read The Psychopath Test?

I think there's a TED talk on it too.

I own two books by a criminal profiler type psychologist called Paul Britton.... The Jigsaw man , and Picking up the pieces. He worked on such cases as the Rachel Nickell murder and had one to one conversations with Colin Stagg ( I think is his name )...absolutely fascinating reads if you've not read them already.

Yeah they're both good reads. Britton got a lot of criticism for his role in the Nickell case and the "honeytrapping" of Stagg.

Also definitely worth checking out is stuff by Robert Ressler or John Douglas, former FBI profilers. Resslers "I have lived in the monster" especially details his converstaions with serial killers which definitely helped learn what motivates them therefor helping to identify them.

And if you're really brave Brady has a book : "Gates of Janus". The first half is him talking about other killers cases, its intersting to get an alternative view if you wanna call it that, and the second half is him trying to justify his crimes. Been a while since i read it but i think he's basically does so by saying he was acting on his natural instincts as a human and that there is no right and wrong except on a solely personal basis.
