A player is worth whatever any paying club is prepared to pay for him. I think if Ross Barkley were to go following the World Cup, he would be worth in the region of £25-£30m based on unrealised potential alone.

Ross Barkley is worth at least 50 big ones.By being young and English this is normally a sign to
quadruple any would be valuation.If some of the players we see going for silly money is a guide
then call the royal mint when you want to sign RB

Young players develop differently. Bale looked like a waste of space for a while. Coleman had his struggles and so did Barkley. Baines/Oviedo took some time to get going. You have to be patient.

Rodwell is still a good player too, just stuck on the wrong team. Any sale to city should have him coming back.

Andy Carroll and Jordan Henderson clearly are not £20m footballers, regardless of what was paid for them. OK, Ross might fetch £30m. I really wasn't getting into a discussion about his transfer value. I was just saying I was wrong. And I was pretty pissed last night.
