So what have they gotta say for themselves?

That 1.2bn is split amongst the whole Moores family, and only a (relatively) small amount of it is in the hands of Grantchester (who is the only one who has any link to the club these days).

He has always said he is not interested in investing in a football club. Same [Poor language removed] different year. The Lord Granchester debate needs to be forgotten about.

So what's Grantchester's involvement then in terms of investment/shares as oppose to Kenwright?

Very little, if anything. I don't know the exact figures I'm afraid.

But he hasn't got direct access to "Running a Premier League Club" type money, even if he had the desire to.

The story I heard with the Granchesters is.....

Lady Granchester was an Evertonian, we all know about her. She gave us the money in the 80's was it? Well she died, and her money obviously went to her son. Unfortunately for us, the little nonse doesn't have the slightest interest in football. He's a farmer.

Oh well.

sorry mate, but 150m isn't even close to enough either.

Just think about it...

If he reached into his pocket to buy (for example) Fellaini for us, that's 10% of his net worth, on one player.

Gone are the days when people with that sort of money can fund an ambitious Premier League side.

I wonder what he's there for then? Let me have a think......

he's there because he bought shares in a business - probably with the expectation (hope?) of a profit when it's sold on.

That's a lot different to buying a club and pouring money into it for transfers etc. Much as I wish they did, the people on the board just don't have the money to do that.

Apparently, Grantchester and Kenwright are not exactly buddies. Old Suenson Taylor was 'the blue-blooded Englishman' Gregg believed he had behind him in the power struggle with BK.

I heard that Lady Grantchester HATES Kenwrong and will not allow any money to go to the club while hes in charge. This may change if she dies, because her son doesnt mind him as much, but he has no interest in football at all.

Just what I heard, could be horlicks.

I heard she calls him Kensh1te, or, more accurately, 'that Cleggy Kensh!te tvvat'.
