I was at Wembley in 1968.

I have fleeting memories of when I was 3 in 1939. Dad was a musician and did a summer season in Ramsey IOM, Mum, me and my brother went with him and we spent the whole summer there. When the TT races were on, I have clear memories of the noise and also can see a TT rider stood next to his bike, talking to some people. He had black leathers on and a bright red crash helmet. I also remember a large grass area near the sea front, where we used to play and have picnics. We returned early when war broke out.
