Apple release a new version of the iPhone every single June/July. I recommend waiting a couple of months and get that one if you need an iPhone.

The change will likely be on the level of the 3G to 3GS rather than 3GS to 4.

Personally, i am very soon getting the HTC Desire Z running vanilla android.

I've got the 16gb and it works like a freaking champ. Pictures are clear as a bell, the video part is particularly ace, it's got a flash for boudoir photo needs and the interwebs are faster - not 4G fast but much faster than the iPhone 3.

Tried both the iphone 4 and the Blackberry Torch and found that the HTC Desire HD is better than both...

...but tbh id wait abit to get the Google Nexus S, cheaper and all that
