I stopped for two years once but started again when I was stressed to ****.

I'm determined to quit full time once I get back to the UK in April. The main reason I'm confident is that I won't be able to afford em. How much are 20 Regals these days? Something like 7 quid? I don't know how you do it.

when the price went over 5 euros I quit in 2002,think their approaching 9 euro now.I do believe everyone has their time.

if your a habitual smoker ie lunch/coffee breaks then it's easier, as changing your routine can help ( i use to spark up as I turned a corner driving to work, knowing that i'd finish as I drove into the car park, for a month or so I came to work another route,)

would imagine addiction to fags would be harder to beat

In all seriousness though, i'm gonna try quitting in the next few weeks. It's just depressing realizing how much i spend per week on smoking

Same here. But everytime I say "I'm gonna do it" i just can't this time. I want to quit desperately for the health and money reasons outlined, but it's not that easy. Ugggh.

Stopped Nov 28 2010,so just over 2 yrs.I havent even had a puff.Just went cold turkey.Put the money I spent on cigs in a savings account and now have thousands.I want to live as long as I can see how me sons turn out

Nice one that.

I stopped July '09 and have spent all the money I'd normally spend on fags on fast food, alcohol and class A's.

I regret nothing.

try the Eciggys lads. I've gone from 15-20 a day to 3 a day in a week. The 3 a day are joints in the evening.

10 years + here. From 40 a day in my Navy days. Hard work. The occasional smell brings back memories everytime.. Odd isn't it.
