15 minutes....I'm trying to work up the nerve to quit again. I quit for 2 years and started smoking again last year. Don't know how many times in the last month I've told myself "when I'm done with this pack that's it" only to keep going. Hopefully, one of these days I'll just stop again.

me dar smoked since he was 11, he's 58 now and has never even attempted to quit until the end of last year he was given a warning from the doctors to sort out his lifestyle and he hasn't touched one for about 18 days now, no cutting down just stopped completely. I smoked for about a year and a half but since he stopped I thought I'd give it a go as well and have only lapsed when I've been on the drink.

Me fatha's on them champix from the doctors, seem to be working a treat so far so i'd probably recommend them

stopped for 20 months now,, quit on june 8th 2010 after 22 years as a smoker,,,, I used patches off the doc,,, started on strong ones for a couple of weeks then down to medium and by the time i was to go to the weak ones i didnt need them anymore,,, ate loads of lolipops at the time and in the first twelve months i put a bit of weight on, i have lost most of it now so it was worth it.... best thing i ever done in my miserable life ha ha

Best was 3 months when I was a student (couldn't afford cigs AND beer). Started back up one day purely through boredom and haven't quit since. Pretty stupid looking back.

My dads been smoking since he was very young and he's now 52. Hasn't affected him physically but my god his breathings affected going up the stairs and that. But physical appearance surprisingly hasn't been affected whatsoever.

I told myself i didn't want to smoke again and stuck with it, that'll be 8 years ago in April. You can do it ONLY IF YOU WANT TO

JD smokes, did not know that

Jamo, stop watching Everton play. That will surely help you in your quest!!! Good luck

I tried one once and felt like I was about to die. Not tried one since

Smoked for about a year when I was 14-15 purely through boredom. Ended up feeling quite addicted like.

Then just decided to stop one day, and did. Cravings and that were bad like, but I've had about 2 in 2 years since just because I wanted to chat up birds that were smoking outside of parties.

I know people who've smoked for longer than I did are a lot more addicted and can't quit, but I reckon a lot of people who say they're trying are just being half arsed about it.
