I wonder if you would be so keen on gas guzzlers if the fuel was $8.50 per gallon, that is the price here in round terms.

Thats the thing Robert, it isn't really that bad. We have crappy, crappy quality gas compared to you, and on the crappy gas, it will get 25mpg on the freeway, which isn't too shabby for a 5.7l V8.....

Seriusly if the tank holds 12 gallons would you pay $102 to fill up?

Nah mate, at 70mph. As for the tank, I am sure it would hold a wee bit more than 12 gallons....more like 16.

I work with a guy who drive a Ford Excursion.....absolte behemoth of a vehicle and it gets 10-12 mpg on the freeway and it has about a 40 gallon tank. Work that one out and keep your eyeballs in the sockets!
