Ok so I know that the two things aren't mutually exclusive, but despite being a lifelong blue I don't hate the RS. I don't hate Chelsea, ManU, Newport County, Hull or Plymouth either ?

My position is that I follow Everton. From the academy to the first team, from Kendall to Dixie, Campbell to Jelavic. I can honestly say that I am absolutely unmoved one way or another about any other team, including International teams. There is a lot of pain and angst about other clubs on GOT.

I just can't get any energy to do it....CBA. Gives some bragging rights which I love, but so does beating the Spuds.

No mate. I get frustrated with certain teams but hating another team it too energy consuming. Think there is too much hatred between fans. United/City. United/Liverpool. Liverpool/Everton. Arsenal/Chelsea.

It is stupid. Nothing to be done about it. Wish it was.

Hate is quite easy to manufacture, and when you have little else, digging into the reserves, can, when things go right provide a rather fine payoff. The seeds of immediate dislike are sewn by ''small clubs'' comments and performances by the likes of Clive Thomas, Graham Poll and Mark Clattenburg. But this week of all weeks isnt the time to be considering such dislikes and the reasons for them. No gloating in the weekends footy thread, just awe and respect for that club and for those families that have somehow pulled through a 23 year nightmare that they and their loved ones did nothing to invite or deserve.

But LFC fans... well I only hate them with 99% of my will, because at the end of the day plenty of my friends are reds. I would say family but amazingly there's not a single RS in the RFUS family tree.
