This is the absolute nightmare situation. Even if it hadn’t exploded in intensity, Acapulco has never seen a hurricane anywhere near this strength. Who knows if any of the buildings, even the big resort hotels, are able to withstand a storm like this. Could be thousands of fatalities.

I wouldn’t even try to protect my house in a situation like this. I would be treating it like a tornado. Grab your valuables and IDs and some clothes and just get out of there.
