Following the recent ballot of season card holders, the club can confirm the majority of votes cast are in favour of Hull Tigers with the Allam Family continuing to lead the club.

15,033 season card holders were eligible to vote with 5,874 choosing to respond.

16.7% of the overall number of season card holders eligible to vote said 'No to Hull Tigers'.

The ballots were counted independently by Bristol based company Beyond Dispute who have worked as independent adjudicators on several high profile votes for the BBC and ITV.

The result of the ballot are as follows:

2,565: Yes to Hull Tigers with the Allam Family continuing to lead the club;
792: I am not too concerned and will continue to support the club either way
9,159: Number of season card holders who did not vote
2,517: No to Hull Tigers

We thank all those who voted for sharing their opinion with the club.

Couldn't believe this. No way that's a fair vote. What sane person would vote to change the name to "Hull Tigers"?

The vast majority of season ticket holders didn't reply cos the vast majority of season ticket holders obviously don't give a monkeys.

And nor should they, storm in a teacup media stuff as usual.

The problem here is that money talks. Lets be honest here we would appose being called Everton Toffees for all our stength at the minute.

But if we werre crap and suddenly new foreign owners put us in the same position as these have done with Hull then you have to say they must know what they were doing. No offence but The last time Hull were up look what happened! This time round they could actually stay up and build ala Southampton and stoke.

Its the cardiff noncense where you have to draw the line.

What's wrong with Cardiff?

Again teams change their shirt colours all the time. Leeds have only been playing in white since the 70s for a start.

Hell, we used to play in white but people don't kick up a fuss cos we changed that to another colour do they?

Modern fans are too precious about this stuff, back in the 30s and 40s they changed all the time and noone cared.

Cardiff's rivals don't even wear red ffs. They should be grateful they have a rich owner (even though he's a mad-man).

Tradition and history are just about all that's left that is uncorrupt in football these days, wipe it away in place of more coin and you've sold out in a way that is utterly contemptable.

Everton not being called Everton and playing in blue, its pretty much 22 random blokes in a big tin shed kicking a ball about, and I would very quickly not give a monkey's who they were I suspect.

I think the 100 odd years makes a hell of a lot of difference. Back then they changed for a reason, not to seem a bit more popular in the far east.

If you think there is nothing wrong with cardiff then i pray to god you never get to see the heart ripped out of our club! That's what it comes down to, for over 100 years we play in blue, Nil Satis and all of that.

Would you take a owner next week with unlimited money who had us play with a different badge, kit colour and club name?

Because Tan wanted to change their name to Dragons if you remember.

So presumably if you were around in the 1800s you would have stopped supporting st domingos when they changed their name, colours and stadium?
