Yeah, don't know how you approve a fertilizer plant in a residential neighborhood with a school near.

Terrible tragedy though.

Heard a lady on National Public Radio today talking about how Texas is one of the most business friendly states... should have considered the timing of something like this before running that story.

Don't mean to politicize a tragedy at all, my heart goes out to the whole town affected by this.
 
The video that guy taking out of his car when the plant exploded might be one of the scariest things I've ever seen. It scared me the second and third time I watched it. Don't think I'll be watching it again.

That's exactly what I thought. Flash of lightening. That dad and his kid were lucky they weren't seriously hurt and to be perfectly honest, that kid probably handled it better than I would have by telling his dad "let's go !!!" and "I can't hear !!"

I'd have been crying/screaming like a little girl.

(Maybe this should have been put in the Admissions Thread.)
