Interview with Howard during the current Gold cup. Pretty much says that the older and best players that know the game better than he have told him to tell them what is going on and talk to them. So Baines and the pointer must tell Howard to yell at them all the time?

Ok read. The defenders quoted in the story are US National Team Mates.

Howard yells is only acting?

I really liked the article actually. He seems like a truly cool dude.

Good interview. I like Howard and think he's as good as we can possibly attract. Maybe there's a hint there as to why Moyes keeps faith with him through thick and thin: he sounds like he's quite brittle confidence-wise, despite the bravado. Dropping him would affect his game badly rather than being taken as the required kick up the arse. He'll only ever be replaced by injury under Moyes, imo.

Just read that out of all the defenders that have played in front of him, he has a clear #1. Jags would be his first choice.

Spot on.
Ferguson lost faith in him and he just crumbled after that at MU.

I like Howard, he's up there with the best in the league and is probaly our best keeper since Southall, maybe Martyn would have something to say about that! He also seems to get what Everton is about and you can tell how much he loves playing for us.

Agreed. Not going to go into the whole psychology of it but I am sure growing up with Touretts doesn't help your confidence. Regardless I think Timmy is a class keeper and I am happy to have him.
