  • Hopes/Predictions at the start of the season?
- 7th place. Hopes: to play attractive football and not be mired in crap.

  • Season Grade + Review:
- Grade: 7/10; season started off well with promise, then ran into a ditch, and then we got out of that ditch in fine form. If we only had managed to win or draw the matches that should not have been lost, it'd been a much better season. But hard not to feel optimistic given our recent form to close out the season.

  • Manager Grade + Review:
- Grade: 7/10 -- maybe better to grade in thirds: first third of the season up until the first derby: B; the second third where we were in a major slump: C-; last third: A. Whatever Silva did to get the team together during that 17 day break has clearly worked.

  • Best/Most Used XI + tactics:
- 4-2-3-1 on paper but seemed more like a 4-2-2-2 with Sigurdsson acting as a secondary striker and pressing up high.- XI: Coleman, Keane, Zouma, Digne; Gueye, Gomes; Richarlison, Sigurdsson, Bernard; Calvert-Lewin .

  • Best/Favourite Match of the Season:
- Undoubtedly destroying Man U 4-0.

  • Worst Match of the Season:
- Worst feeling: Derby at Anfield. Worst actual match: blowing 2-0 lead against Newcastle. Worst match overall: New Year's Day loss to Leicester 0-1.

  • Goal of the season:
- Sigurdsson's goal at Leicester.

  • Signing of the season:
- Digne. Without a doubt.

  • Disappointment of the Season:
- Calvert-Lewin's inability to score goals; Walcott in general. Tosun hasn't even featured enough to warrant mention. Lookman's cameos. Davies' unclear role.

  • U-23 player of the season (if applicable):
- Despite inability to score at a rate expected of a striker, Calvert-Lewin for his contributions. Performance-wise: Richarlison.

  • Goalkeeper of the Season:
- I guess it's Pickford?

  • Defender of the Season:
- Zouma.

  • Midfielder of the season:
- Gueye. Don't know where the team would be without him cleaning up the middle of the pitch.

  • Forward of the season:
- Richarlison and Sigurdsson - they've supplied the goals and most of the attack threats.

  • "Shocking" moment of the season (Optional):
- Obviously Pickford's mistake at the derby. Still painful.

- Schneiderlin actually performing well when called upon

  • Summer transfer needs/Other Notes heading into next season
- Transfer needs: Inevitable replacement for Seamus at RB, likely find a replacement for Zouma, sign Gomes if we can, find a double-digit goal scoring-striker, clear out the deadwood of players from past three seasons that are eating up the wage bill, determine which players are going to be part of the future with a full training camp this summer (ex: Vlasic, Dowell, Onyekuru, Baningme, etc.)

Sounds like good sense to me.

5. Haven’t done anything we haven’t done before, haven’t progressed or regressed, decided to forget how to play football then remember again when the season was over (like normal) and didn’t even nearly rock the applecart.

We are proper boring to support.
