I actually work in advertising and in the past have offered free ideas to the marketing department of the club, as a supporter, only to be met with a negative response. In fact, I can't even remember the response, if any.
Maybe they thought my ideas stunk!!
Funny you should say that, but I just sent a lengthy informative email to someone in the club on this matter. I did at least get a phone call from them in the first instance. I sent them a small message on the OS indicating that I had an idea to massively increase ticket sales. I'm still waiting to hear back from then since. I might take my idea somewhere else - see if other clubs will pay me something for it - without a word of a lie this could increase match ticket sales by perhaps 500 per game - oh well they don't give a sh*t why should I?
BTW BiL I'm a Management Accountant with a Marketing background - I "invented" Nectar points on a local scale 10 years before the national scheme.
