How would you describe Everton style

Try to be serious please and use max two or three sentenses in describing it.

Martinez told in Echo story that he has no intentions of ditching his and Evertons style and in future it will bring success to the club.

So what is that style in your opinion?

(Personal note: I trust this man 100%)

I think we value possession of the football more than the creation of goalscoring chances. As a result of this when we play poorly we play a very dull brand of possession football when the ball rarely enters the opposition box.

Unfortunately, we don't have the quality of player to implement this style to it's full effectiveness.

Pretty much this

I'll be honest, the style of football we try to execute bores me. It works for the top teams because they have players like Messi to produce moments of magic that unlock stubborn defences.

My preferred style is the way Real Madrid and the classic United teams play. Explosive with pace and power. Yeah, more often than not they'll have the majority of possession but it's not an issue if they don't because they'll always hit you with a sucker punch on the counter attack.

We seem to pass and keep the ball for the sake of doing so without much interest in where that gets us.

Unfortunately it suffers from all the negative views that people have of Tika-Taka.

i.e. We use possession almost for a defensive purposes as much as for offense.

I'm not sure if that is by design or due to the players not having the confidence/quality to play at a quicker pace.

There's far too much emphasis on keeping the ball from some people within the game. Just look at Madrid against Munich last year. Munich had 69% of possession but ended up losing 4-0.

There's more than one way to play football successfully, and I'm sure Martinez knows this too. Even how we played under Moyes at our best was better than what we're trying to do now.

Far too laboured and easy to play against, mix it up with a bit of high intensity stuff please!

I'm a Martinez fan still like yourself and I'm usually a very positive person, but his apparent lack of a plan b is starting to worry me.

I miss the super subs from last year too!

As much as I've fumed at our style of play (lack of intensity and movement, no one to provide a moment of genius, no one taking leadership on the pitch, no one driving us on, players not crossing the ball, corners not beating the first man, not putting it in the box from free kicks, not servicing Lukaku, Barkley in and out the team, playing no.10s wide, the fact we're the nicest team in the f**king world, poor subs and management overall this season.

You can tell I'm probably annoyed and I get angry whenever I think of how we've played, the team lacks EVERYTHING we've had in abundance down the years which is togetherness, spirit and fight. Teams used to be scared coming to Goodison because it would be a hard game, even last season that was still with us, because McCarthy and Barry were receiving the ball on the half turn, freeing Barkley, Kev & Rom to run at defences with pace whereas this year everything has decreased in pace, our play is laboured it's almost as if we don't know how to attack with virtually the same squad.

To sum up, the style of play I saw last season was electrifying at times, passing football with a high tempo and we still had that aggression about us. This year it is the complete opposite.

I will add though that football is over 70% confidence, and even more so when you play a passing game, so that is a big big factor, we just need to [Poor language removed] Hull and get through in the FA Cup so that we get a positive Goodison when City come, and hopefully the players will be right in their faces. The way Southampton & Spurs play their football is similar (better ATM) to ours, the difference being each player knows their job on the pitch, and they press as a unit right up the pitch whereas players are being chopped and changed every game with us, as is the formation. Get a settled side, stick with the formation and let players grow into form which could sort out our confidence issue.
