Yep, I think the best club sides are typically better than the best national sides. Bayern for instance have the best of the German side but with additions from Brazil, Holland, France etc. Barca have the best of the Spain side plus Messi, Neymar et al.

Spain and Germany are the strongest national sides, and I don't think either would win their national league (assuming players could play in both national and club side).

You would see them managed differently than they do now.

Imagine Shaw, Ward-Prowse, Lallana, Rodrigues at the same clu.....oh wait........!

Any national side would fail miserably in the Premier League today.

This is the logical problem in this thought experiment. For if Germany played in the Bundesliga, they would face a Bayern and Dortmund without their German players. Ergo, Germany would waltz the Bundesliga.

If England played in the PL, they would face (oh hang on, doesn't quite work as well here).

These are more workable examples, as the club sides wouldn't lose too many significant players. For my money, Germany and Spain would finish top two in both leagues.
