Well, I let myself have all of Sunday to let it sink in that David Moyes is leaving and a lot can happen to our club in the coming months. I have been with this club for about 5 years, Everton and Moyes have been with me in my better teenage years and now my college career. He is all I have known and its some scary ****. None of us know whats next and no one knows where we go from here. Any of you more weathered members have any advice for a first timer?
This morning I read a great quote in the Liverpool Echo "Managers, players, even chairman come and go. They are replaced, hopefully wisely, and life goes on. In the end, the most important things is always the club. And that's exactly how it should be." It was very comforting and made me proud to be a part of this amazing club and be associated with everyone involved. I know I joined the best club in the world and I have had some of the best years watching and admiring the club.
Since I am from the United States I'm not as in the loop as I would like to be, but I deal and get all the information and stay as much involved as I can. **** I have even gotten my family on board, every time I come back from college to visit my family I tell everyone about the recent news of Everton, even my sweet old Grandmother calls me to tell me shes watching the game (its a replay), haha none the less, her and my entire family support Everton and me. Whether I'm in the living room jumping around screaming for joy or laying on the floor depressed, in each scenario I am covered in head to toe in all my Everton attire and that's what its all about.
I know we will get through it and I know for damn sure we will see a hell of a lot more silverware in my lifetime, but does anyone have a little advice to numb the pain?
COYB! Forever Everton!!
