Just wondering how much the feeling on here represents the feelings of the wider fan base.

Not living in the city anymore its hard to judge on some issues, i personally feel that this forum is a pretty accurate reflection but again its hard to judge not being there.

Keyboard warriors on toast.

For example the average Everton fan, local or not, was quite ok with the Kenwright & Moyes-era. Obviously pissed off at certain results and that, but overall nothing like the scathing criticisms we saw on these boards before Mosh came.

Same with certain players like Leon Osman, who most non-forum dwelling fans quite liked.

Most of the Yanks here are great, but not enough in numbers to raise the average GOT profile

I would say it's a very good representation of people who actually have read info or sought out info to get a better understanding of what has happened or isnhaooeniis.

I know there's different opinions of the posts made across the different fan sites / forums, personally I don't understand this weird clique thing but what ever, but in general if you got to the base opinions I'd say everything could fall together nicely across GOT and elsewhere into something very similar across the board.

The way I see the fan base is that there's quite a few different sections which have different thoughts albeit still large in size.

  1. The Happy Clappers - no doubt in my mind there is a large group of these that no matter what goes on or happened would continue smiling and clapping until it was too late. I'm not sure how you'd get them to 'see the light'
  2. The MGEWOI - match going Evertonian without information ... these are fans are disgruntled at the situation who's view probably aligns with GOT, but maybe not as vocal. They are ones who understood why The Blue Union were marching but felt it wasn't right for them. If they had the 'info' then I think they would feel very differently.
  3. The MGEWI - match going Evertonian with information. As above but actually reads fan forums, knows of KEIOC, Kings Dock, reads Twitter, looks at other Everton journo pieces others than The Echo mouthpiece.
  4. The NMGEWI - non match going Evertonian with information. Basically as a nice, I don't think this person's opinions or feeling differs at all compared to a match going blue. Be they from America or Norway!

By info I mean as above, KEIOC, Kings Dock, Fortress Sports Fund, the park end development all that bs which would have huge impact on people's perceptions of True Blue Bill Kenwright.

Think I’m a number 2
