I feel like the question is more interesting if you consider what they'd have been worth at the point we signed them, so I'm answering that soz aba me.

Kanchelskis - £50m: would be more if he wasn't leaving United under a bit of a cloud.
Dunc - £15m: had his problems with the assault charge and all and was coming from Scotland. We might even get him a bit cheaper than this.
Dixie Dean - £50m?: This one is hard to call. We signed him as a youngster from Tranmere, but these days a club Tranmere's side wouldn't be able to keep a kid like Dean even in their academy. He'd be hoovered up by one of the bigger clubs in the North West. He'd just scored 27 goals in 30 for Tranmere, so you've got to think he'd be a hot property at something like the level Rooney was in 2004. I'll say £50m but this is proper apples and oranges. At his peak he'd surely be going for Neymar money, or even more.
Arteta - £10m-ish, maybe less?: Wasn't a hot property at the time, was surplus to requirements in a mediocre Sociedad side.
