Utter Cad.
And if you were one, when was that? What does the term even mean? Has it changed in meaning? How do did/do you feel about all that stuff then and now?

Me, I suppose I dabbled a tiny amount. I bought The End and wore a commando hat to the match in 1981, or whenever it was, like thousands of others. I had a Benetton T-shirt etc but I really couldn't be arsed that much. What seemed fun at first quickly became ugly and a vehicle for putting others - your mates - down. But then, I left Liverpool long before that culture ever blossomed.

Pretty much same here. Any kid going the game back then was almost expected to follow the away support back into down and pick off stragglers on Scotty or Byrom St (I was usually the shitouse at the back...behind all the other shithouses).

Daft rites of passage stuff.

I dabbled i little bit but soon realised it wasn't for me had a few close shaves at aways , there was some right evil bastards about back then seen some horrible things like .

How did that work out for you mate?

Never had any bother at the games but I was a little tw@t as a kid nicking from shops, breaking into cars, bunking trains, buses and even the ferry across the mersey. A bit too quick with my fists and the late 60s to early 70s were my delinquent years.

It would be easy to say everyone was the same and indeed lads tended to live outside on the streets like feral wolves but it's not true, plenty of kids were decent.

Every now and again I'll get into a pompous conversation with someone about the youth of today tut tutting and shaking my head whilst thinking "I did that ...... and worse".

Personally I don't think peoples ever change we all test the limits somehow no matter what era you were born in.

good evening mr planet sir. Before i commit myself to answering this poll, would it be possible for you to define more clearly the use of the term 'scall'. Thanks.
