I was expecting something else when I read the headline, majorly disappointed here. My wife was born near Villa Park and isn't overly bothered about togger, although she does encourage me to take the grandkids, which is phenomenal.

I don't think she could care less, but she understands Everton take importance over any plans I have with her and has endured numerous away games on TV so that's good enough for me.

She isn't massively into football but I have managed to make her see the error of her ways from her Man Utd supporting days. She now mocks her family for supporting Utd and has joined me in teaching the kids how to wind them up.

My bird goes the game with me and enjoys it and classes herself as a supporter, that's good enough for me.

Actually she doesn't class herself as a real fan, I think she is though. She loves the Blues.
