Without looking at the groups I wouldn't be surprised if that top 8 will be the quarter final line up. With the exception of Switzerland to be replaced by Chile.

I think England will beat Italy.. Partly due to the Italians tendency to start slowly in tournaments. This will caue us to go on a 1990 type run where we get unfortunately knocked out in the semis and rue missed chances for a generation

Getting out of the group would be a major achievement imo, and if we do we'll have a fair bit of confidence and momentum to carry us a lot further.

Even though i'd rather our lids would be in pre-season with the team, having them in there makes it possible for me to support England irrespective of the fact there's a few whoppers in there like

I want england to do well but i'm not arsed where we finish, I would rather lose than win badly. My biggest problem is the tempo of our football it's so dull and we just don't take risks under hodgson until we concede.

But generally quite a promising World Cup. Oxlade-Chamberlain England's player of the tournament.
