HOW FAR IS TOO FAR?

Norman Finkelstein, a Jewish scholar who has taught political science at City University, says in his book, 'The Holocaust Industry,' that "invoking The Holocaust" is "a
ploy to delegitimize all criticism of Jews." I agree with him,100%. One cannot even criticize jews/israel anymore out of fear of being labelled anti, semetic or being told that you've gone too far. Great read that book.

People can call you antisemitic or racist or whatever. If you have any balls and you believe that your criticism are reasonable it shouldn't bother you. People need to grow a thicker ****ing skin.

You'd think one person calling you a racist is like having your head caved in with a baseball bat the way some people carry on.

If you think Israel is wrong then say so, don't allowed yourself to be cowed out because it's an unpopular idea or you're no kind of person at all.

Ah, the political uses of 'genocide' seems to be a hot topic at the moment. It seems there is some suspicion about how the term is used for political gains in intellectual circles. This article by George Monbiot is a good starting point (he refutes some of the critiques of the term), but you get a flavour (and other links) to other standpoints. http://www.monbiot.com/2012/05/21/see-no-evil/

Oh, the above debates I refer to aren't soley framed as 'jewish' issues, but perhaps broaden and contextualise the debate here.

I made this comment after noticing how most, if not all, WW2 documentaries always portray Jews as the ONLY victims of that horrendous conflict.

Well, is it all or most? Come on, think - this is important.

I did a bit of research and found out that most Hollywood studios, production companies etc are owned by Jews. I was told by me Facebook friends that I overstepped the mark. Really?

Yes. Really.

No WWII documentary portrays the Jews as the ONLY victims. Not saying that their role as it were hasn't been covered a lot, but the fact remains that they were the largest group of people persecuted for a specific reason. This included Russian Jews remember.

My missus is jewish and I've had my eyes opened to a certain extent since we met. They weren't the first to be persecuted for their beliefs or culture and unfortunately won't likely be the last but they are recent and it was a huge number. Israel to me was a major **** up by us British at the time, tbh.
