There is nothing than can hold a candle to the feeling of buying an album from a shop, (vinyl), getting it home, reading the lyrics and stuff, playing it, then carefully putting it back in its sleeve then cover.

Feel a bit sorry for you youngsters who might not have ever experienced that.

I've thought about doing this as I spent a weekend at my mates recently who has a huge vinyl collection, especially for someone under 25. Problem is, its a very costly habit, and I know that if I start I'll become an addict.

Think of the sweet sweet records floating through the air of your apartment

I still have CDs, vinyls and cassettes. Mainly download now straight from YouTube to my phone and iPod but I still buy CDs from charity shops and car boot sales, usually to replace lost or scratched ones.

iTunes mainly for me.

I still do buy the occasional CD if I think an album merits a place in my car, for example Jurassic 5 have recently come into my life and they made it.

I don't really agree with getting music illegally.

Walk into Woolies with a mate, he goes up to pick and mix, knocks a load on the floor, I slip the latest disc by Chumbawumba into my Kappa jacket whilst the staff are distracted. Copy it. Sell for £2.50 a pop behind the smoking bit.

Amazon. You get the mp3 download which goes straight into i-tunes plus they send you the CD
Are you sure that's the case? If you buy the cd they'll give you the digital version on Amazon player, if you buy the MP3 album I'm not sure they'll automatically send you the CD as well.

Buy the album and you get an mp3 download. You don't need to play it in the Amazon player

Reminds me of "The Onion" headline "Love affair with music promptly ends for 35year old" for some reason.

I live out in the middle of nowhere, no stores to buy CDs, even if I wanted to buy one. Downloads for me.

The point I was making was, buying an album on Mp3 will not get you a free CD. Buying an album on CD will get you the album on MP3.
