How do you buy music?

If you buy music do you buy discs or download digitised files?

I still like to own a music collection. Since I've had a tablet I have found myself buying more music from places like iTunes rather than buying CDs. Is this a good idea? What happens to all my music in the "cloud" if these companies go bust?

What is he way to go?
 

i use to buy my music from a russian website 6p a track, it was closed down after about 3 years. got a great collection of songs, but would like a newer cheap site to update my collection tho.

Try to avoid iTunes if you can. They're a pain in the arse for music as they're really restrictive on how you actually use the stuff you've bought.
 
Piratebay is always cheap

Personally like vinyls, have a decent collection myself.

There is nothing than can hold a candle to the feeling of buying an album from a shop, (vinyl), getting it home, reading the lyrics and stuff, playing it, then carefully putting it back in its sleeve then cover.

Feel a bit sorry for you youngsters who might not have ever experienced that.
 

7digital.com - Most new albums are 4.99 for the mp3 which is pretty sweet

If not, I can't stop buying vinyl (especially as many of them come with a free download nowadays)
 

Amazon. You get the mp3 download which goes straight into i-tunes plus they send you the CD
 
Mixture, i like having CD's though.

Last week i bought 3 cd's for a fiver at some store. Now, i've already bought all 3 of these albums before but lost them in a move a few years back.

Radiohead - OK Computer ( Bought this 4 times i reckon, but worth every penny.

Flaming Lips - Yoshimi battles the pink robots

Electric Six - Fire
 
i dont i steal it ;) Joking... I have a vinyl collection still from 89 - 96 but my sound system will only play downloaded media or streamed from spotify paid account.
