South-west. When they reported it to the police the police said many schools had also received it. I think it was by the same group who sent a bomb hoax email last week to ~400 schools across the country. Supposedly one 19-year old was arrested.

Doubt that it is a group as such. More likely to be one or two f****d up individuals in a bed-sit.

A quick Google of there name brings up a twitter page, they say on it that they've sent emails so all students get a day off and that the emails are fakes

Hopefully the idiot is clueless with computers at the time of creating that gmail account and they can trace it back to the PC he or she was using and where it is.

Whoever sent it is definitely clueless. They've even left the 'if you have received this email in error' statement at the bottom the utter utter t1t.
Almost certainly will be caught but unfortunately not hanged.
