How Can The Toffees Get The Best From Sigurdsson?

He will be boss for us once we have a settled team and a decent no.9 who likes to put it about. No point getting on his back for the fact he hasn't got the drift of our plan, when everyone can see we don't have one yet.

He has the skillsets of a number 4 yet people wanted him to play number 10. Its like Pirlo when he was young.

Play him deeper and put a passer(or a runner) and a ball-winner with him. We should have him dictate play from the back then.

At Swansea, he was the main cog in their offensive. He was an automatic selection at #10.

With our glut of midfield players, who knows, he might just have to play fullback, just to get on the pitch.

Easy play him in a number ten role, drop Rooney. Have two fast wingers either side and a striker for him to play off. He isn't central to our game plan currently he was for Swansea and kept them up for at least a few seasons.
I’m hoping we’ll see this tomorrow. It’s got to be worth a try!

I'm convinced all our new signings will come good. There's too much talent there for them not to. Get a few results in and some points on the board then give the new boys a run of games and see how they do. Everyone apart from Pickford, and to an extent Rooney, have been flops based on the start of the season but it's early doors and we've effectively got half our starting 11 as new signings. Time to gel, persistence in putting them on the pitch together, patience and a bit of luck and I think we'll be sound. Forever the optimist! More fool me.
