Went to only my 3rd game of the season today as I don't have a season ticket and can honestly say that was as boring football as anything I witnessed under Walter Smith when I held a ticket. When do we ever look like scoring 4 or 5 in a league game? Can't remember the last time we hit four in the prem.Surely we can't put up with another season of that slow clueless football. Whenever a team defends deep we have no idea how to break them down. I am not forking out £38 again to watch that team untill he's gone.

Need to go back to trying to outscore teams like early season, not arsed if we concede a few

It's been a bit of a painful watch this season, before United which was a relatively entertaining performance, when was the last time we were honestly entertained in a match? Maybe Arsenal at home last season?

People are forking out a lot of money week in week out to be bored to death. I'm not saying we should go Kamikaze style but a bit of urgency and a quicker pace wouldn't go a miss.

Remember when we put 7 past Sunderland? Great day that. I miss us snotting teams!!

We can be very boring on occasions...but today wasn't one of them.

I thought it was a cracking little match and how the heck we didn't take sommat from ut is a mystery.

If the OP was so bored by that game that he felt moved to come on here and start a thread about it then I suspect football ain't his thang.

Arsenal at home this season was boss as was many matchs in europe.

That sunderland one was a one off

Did someone really say that today was worse than when Walter Smith was in charge?!! How quickly people forget we played some games under smith with 6 defenders and 4 centre halves and our creative players consisted of Idan Tal and Niclas Alexandersson with zero pace until radzinski arrived.

Didn't we go on a run under Smith when we had 5 or 6 games at Goodison where we failed to score, and 0-0 was therefore the best result? Can't recall many of them as I think I slept through, but I remember the one (season opener?) when John Collins missed a penalty. Was 0-0.

Today was, to coin a Walterism, "Disappointing". But boring it wasn't.

I am always nervous when i watch us play, so it's never really boring to me, i guess you have to ask a neutral about this stuff.

Our football can be grim sometimes, but not today, i think we just were unlucky (Both goals, Mccarthy shot etc) and ref played his part too.
