Me & the Mrs have our first wedding anniversary coming up and i thought id suprise her with abit of a luxury hotel night with yours truely (although she would probably prefer Tom Hardy), you know the type, hot tub, dressing gowns, champagne, strawberrys all that jazz.

Anyone recommend any decent hotels in & around the area, even Chester way for a nice romantic night away?

There's one on James St does the full hot tub malarkey. You may get more jizz than jazz there though

Do you live in Liverpool? If so, push the boat out and try leaving the city. Take her up to the Lake District. Loads of good hotels up there.

For a bit of luxury, try Lodore Falls in Keswick, The Langdale Hotel in Langdale, The Gilpin in Windermere or Low Wood Bay Hotel in Windermere.

...stayed in the Titanic recently for my daughter’s wedding and the rooms are stunning. It’s an old Rum Warehouse so its a unique infrastructure, lovely bar behind reception.

If it’s not a spoiler, there’s a good chance you’ll bump into one of our new transfers as they tend to stay there. Avoid Liverpool match weekends unless you like seeing shirts with Virgil written on the back.

If we leave the city we would spend most of our time exploring the area etc. If we stay in Liverpool we fnd no real need to leave the hotel if you know what i mean
