Everton Football Club is seeking to recruit host families in the Widnes area that are able to accommodate our young players (aged 14-21).
Some of our Academy players are encouraged to live away from their families within easy reach of our partner school and training ground. We are interested in hearing from families living within a 5 mile radius of Widnes that would be interested in providing a “home from home” environment for our players.
Placements would begin from 29th June 2014 and could vary from long-term to short-term. A competitive fee would be provided to meet the costs of providing accommodation and sustenance to the player.
Responsibilities of the host family would include:
- A commitment to providing a clean, warm, welcoming, “home away from home” experience to an Everton Academy player
- Being prepared to engage, interact and support young people, treating them as one of the family
- Being able to provide at least one spare bedroom in your own home

Applicants will also be subject to an Enhanced Criminal Record Check (DBS).
