Witsel has received a match ban, starting now untill the 23d November, meaning he'll miss 10 league games and a cup match. Standard have appealed the punishment (think it's a bit much myself), and the whole thing has now gone from the Belgian FA to UEFA

after the tackle he apparently started putting the blame on the ref, saying that Anderlecht made a lot of fouls which didn't get called and that's why the Standard players started tackling back

liege should've got rid then 'til jan at least, he couldve hid out on merseyside for a while in a safe-house, keeping himself fit by turning out for us, suprised nobody thought of that.

after an appeal by standard, the FA has shortened his punishment to 8 weeks, so hell miss only 8 games instead of 11.
