Not a thread as such but help needed.

Does anyone use 'Birdstep Technology' on their PC, or laptop even.

I want to uninstall it from my PC, and I just can't find out the relevant information anywhere on screen to get it back to before. (pre-installion)

I changed it, or upgraded my dongle connector in early January, to this Birdstep crap, and since then it's been worse than it was before. It's gone from 60 per cent efficient over new year to about 15-20 now.

It's blue in color on mine, the dongle face used to be yellow, if I remember, it looks better, more fancy, but it's five fifths of damn useless, and I rue the day I ever changed it.

I just want it back as it was before, but don't know the process to do it.

This is probably not going to get anywhere, but if anyone knows of this upgrade or has experienced such problems, I would be interested in hearing about it.

I just back the old version, the orange one in color actually, and not the blue.

I'm coming to the end of my tether at home with it actually.

And leave it overnight to settle.

it's a damn miracle that I even get a chance to participate tonight. I've been pissing around for most of the evening trying to make headway, and looking at all the programs and such, but there are hundreds, maybe thousands of computer bits, jargon, terminology, and I'm stuck in the maze without a flag.

I've been through the control panel before now, but tried in vain to find the right removal but could not do it, I think maybe this could be a job for the professionals.

I'll say 'that Bodie and Doyle' are not on their way round to offer advice to save any ass clown remarks from nameless individuals. :dodgy:

I'm wary of using any programs suggested, I'd probably make a mess of that anyway, so I guess I'll have to seek some PC expert, and see where that goes, it's a damn bloody nuisance I can tell you.

I won't have a line connected to the phone so make use of a dongle broadband that can be topped up by purchases to relevant retailers.

Only problem is, the network I am on is six times as inefficient as clattenburg and I live in a poor signal area, or in a low part of town even, or bottom line is I should throw all and sundry out of the nearest window.

Things can only get better. :@:(rcard:rant::whip:

Have you tried rightclicking on the shortcut, selecting properties, then jump to location and seeing if an uninstaller exists?

I don't really know what birdstep is, but read this for uninstallation possibilities: SmartConnect FAQ - Birdstep

Thank you Bastardo, it is a real pain in the ass I can say, at least now, I'm out, and at a shared network, and everything is going smooth, it's just perfect, if only I had this at home, it is frustrating.

And tell Azul, not to be so damn flippant, this is a serious matter. :@

Birdseed, Birdstep, Birdcrap. :toilet:
