To make you feel more confident, I had a ticket booked on my own for a few days in Edinburgh in March to see a special screening of Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan and an evening with William Shatner. Saddo I know.
End of the day; it’s something that interested me and although a few friends said they’d join me for the trip and not the screening I figured some time on my own would be sound. If you’re comfortable in your own skin and have a good idea of what you’d like to do on holiday, it can be great going places on your own.
As an example I went to Amsterdam with mates a few years ago and didn’t get chance to do half the things I wanted to because we always had to do what the group wanted. Didn’t go to Anne Frank’s house or any of the art galleries. Did get to the stadium; but it would have been nice to spend one of the days where I was spaced out my mind to do some other things instead. If you go on your own, you can do what you want; when you want, where you want and in the debauched spirit this thread seems to be taking, who you want.
