Quite possibly the most ridiculous thing you'll read this year. I know footballers are generally thick but you'd think they'd make at least a vague attempt to understand what the term "context" means before moaning.

I also note that the use of the term 'nitty-gritty' has been lambasted this past week. Apparently it describes the residue left between decks on slave ships after the 'cargo' had been offloaded.

Hopefully Woy steers clear of telling the lads they get down to the nitty gritty in Brazil.

He was using an analogy that includes an animal ffs, those seeking to apply a racist connotation to what is a well used tale, are pathetic in my book & I don't think Hodgson deserves labelling as 'thick' over this either.
