Reidy's Bottle Of Grecian

The Unobstructed View
Glenn Hoddle seems to be popping up more and more at the moment, being thrust back in by his 'arl mates in footy... Lineker et al.

I'm of the opinion that he should stay in the wilderness for his comments about disabled people, I don't agree with what he said and as far as I'm concerned you get punished for your wrongs in this life, and his punishment should be being banished from the game and our screens for ever.

Take your Kenny G C.D. and do one Hoddle.

Tosspot. I think his chance of management has gone as the game moves on but the same media who crucified him for his comments are now chucking moeny and TV time at him.

Pundit on ITV tonight, then saw on news that he's part of Linekers mob doing the world cup song, get the feeling his mates are trying to get him 'back in.'

It was comical when he was "linked" with the Spurs job, no Club in the world will ever employ such a mental headcase, hes gonna have a meltdown 1 day and its gonna be a joy to watch all his bum chums cringe.

If it was purely based on football i think the guy talks a lot of sense. He wants the game played in the right way and his punditry is actually very good and not just inane drivel and cliches like some others. In his autobiography, Gary Neville was very complimentary on Hoddle's detail to the game etc. it was his man management that let him down.

Unfortunately in todays era, man-management is one of the key areas and When you add in Hoddle's personal beliefs on certain things then the man will not manage another English club again in my opinion. I personally think its a shame as i would much rather see one of his teams playing than some of the dross that comes to Goodison Park.

I think he's served his penance TBH. Yes he made some stupid remarks but he's not the 1st person to hold some stupid religious beliefs. As others have said, he wants football played in the right way and is knowledgeable about the game. Past it as a top level manager but could still have some useful input to youth development.

Sort have the impression he got turfed out of the game after his remarks as England boss - but he did a fair stint in management afterwards. Approx 6 years at Southampton, Spurs and Wolves, so it's not like his career was terminated or anything, he had his chances.

Obviously what he said was stupid, but (without wanting to cause murder) billions of people around the world believe in equally stupid stuff IMO. He talks sense football wise.
