I've noticed that the highlights programme we get here in Melbourne this season is only showing records from the Premier League era. I forget them exactly but the stats on screen before the West Ham match had something like Played 32 Everton won 14 West Ham won 8 Drawn 10. Or something like that.
How are people supposed to know their history if they aren't told about it?

By looking it up for themselves if they're that interested? I didn't learn about the club and it's history by having knobhead commentators/pundits from the premier league era tell me about it.

So why mention any stat's then you hairy duffer ?

btw if I don't get to read any more of your posts after your rendezvous tonight, it'll be for the best after the one quoted.

*but you will be missed ( sob )

I'm not even sure my post makes any sense to be honest, but I get the point in general about TV coverage, it's utter crap for the most part when it comes to anything outside of the top 4 and anything pre 1990's.

I imagine the GOT members have all chipped in to make sure I don't return after tonight, it's ok, it was inevitable really.

This might be our last exchange, so i'll humour you.

Good, 'cos personally I find it's annoying that Sky/Premiership use their formation as the datum for ALL their English top division footballing stuff because it's in their 'foremost clubs' ' and sponsors interests, promoting mass ignorance.

I always thought you'd go out a bit like Eazy-E

It's the same here mate. Sky Sports act like football was only invented when the Premier League started, the upside of that is that they never mention LFC winning stuff in the past, pleases me they've never won the Prem, all that cash blown, hah !

Everybody knows Sky (re)invented football in 1992 and in doing so set the clock back to year zero, trouble is most of the gloryhunter / plastic / foreign 'fans' ( Sky's prefered target demograph ) don't know any better and care even less

* puts tongue firmly in cheek*
Sky + pol pot in photo finish for crimes against humanity, well you get what I mean.
