What's the highest and lowest you've been on the planet, excluding use of aeroplanes, helicopters, balloons and submarines.

Struggling to think of the highest but I'm sure it's a quite underwhelming 3718m above sea level, lowest I've been is -40m sea level.

Lowest i've been is about 100 meters, but that's where i live, ha. Planing on going to the Netherlands this year with my father, so when (or if, things never go according to plan) i go - that's gonna be the lowest.

Highest - Bezbog in the Pirin mountain here in Bulgaria, usually go there every year - around 2640m above sea level.

so you never been on a beach then lid ?

You're bound to have seen some where high lid?

lowest would probably be the channel tunnel, although i've been down a mine in staffs.

don't know what would be highest, been skiing in alps but don't know altitude, been up a couple of volcano's and snowdon but nothing that induces sickness or anything.

the highest i've been would have to be in holland though.

I was hoping you'd pick up on the ambiguity.

Going down the mine counts, how deep was it? Mine was scuba diving so it will blast that all over the show.

it was a mining museum so probably not that far, my mate used to go down the one just down the road from me, and it was in the guiness book of records as the deepest shaft in the uk.(1400m) 2 of the deepest shafts in europe apparently.
At one time it's shaft of 1012 yds was the deepest in Europe, it's workings over 4600 feet below ...
so basically 1/2 the blokes in the pub will take some beating on the depth one.

and i reckon the esk or atrottel will have the height title.

Chicoazul, how many participants here do you imagine have been on a Submarine. :)

or balloons for that matter, or even helicopters.

It's got very adventurous around here lately.

james bond is red [Poor language removed] supporter you know, he won't be on here. :)

I'll just go for broke here.

I've sat on the top of Mont Blanc whistling Z Cars and doing a three piece Samantha Fox jigsaw.

lowest I've been was looking (and falling) down the chasm that was Wimbledons second goal on the last day of the season years back.

Highest Copper Mountain Colorado 10,000 ft i think, got the Altitude sickness and its worse after a few Sherbets
Lowest Not Sure

I've done a submarine and helicopter man.

And Chicago, planes aren't counted dude.

AHEM!!!!

Seeing as I am a submariner in the US Navy, I could count as one. And we have an ex Royal Navy submariner who frequents the forum.

As for that, the actual depth is classified, so I will say 'greater than 800 feet'

Although I went scuba diving one time, went about 120feet down. My highest is about 10,000 feet. multiple places in the North West of the USA.
